This was our first time at Ashfield house,Wigan and this stunning venue with each room decorated beautifully and elegantly was the perfect setting for the celebration of Abbie and Jordan’s wedding.
Abbie looked absolutely stunning, every inch the classic bride with an amazing dress which gave the guests a surprise for the evening reception as it’s full skirt detached to reveal a slim form fitting evening gown dress. The bridal prep in the lounge room of Ashfield House, Wigan allowed great light flowing through the windows as bridesmaids relaxed in the seating area and make up and hair was in full flow in other areas of the room.
The sun was shining for Abbie’s arrival at the church as friends and family eagerly awaited the ceremony ahead. The church itself was a beautiful, traditional church with a bright interior and huge beams towering abouve the guests which made quite the impact.
Just as the rain threatened to hit we made a quick stop off at the top of Parbold Hill for photos where as always an ice cream van was parked for visitors to this great look out spot. What else is there to do on your wedding day but get an ice cream on the way to your reception?
The wedding breakfast room looked simply stunning with hanging photo frames decorated with flowers adorning the windows and stylish table numbers and centrepieces decorated the tables. A pop up cocktail bar was on hand both for welcome drinks and evening reception and our photo booth was set up next to bar as the room was swapped around for some pre evening entertainment.
A great live band was setting up ready to provide the music for the evening reception and as the sun was still out the boys made entertainment for themselves with a quick game of football on the venue’s grounds before the dancing began.
As our bride and groom took to the dance floor for their first dance confetti canons were at the ready to shower the couple whilst they danced – an awesome ending to an absolutely stunning day, it pleasure to photograph this Abbie and Jordan on their big day.
