Where do we begin with this wedding? Great venue, AWESOME couple, groom on the digger, camper van, THAT Titanic photo, ‘ghastly’ and an epic sunset.
Awesome.
How did you originally meet?
We met on a dating website before the Tinder revolution and online dating was cool. We made online dating cool.
How did Sam propose?
Spur of the moment decision from viewpoint overlooking the Kyles of Bute in the West of Scotland. I told my mother and sister I was about to propose and casually walked over to my oblivious soon-to-be wife. This was after she accused be of being weird all day, which is probably true, I had a good excuse!
Why did you choose Beeston Manor?
The Oakland Room where we would have the ceremony sold it. It made our mothers cry at the thought of it.
What did you want your wedding to be like?
Relaxed and surrounded by our closest family and friends having a good time.
What was your favourite part of the day?
Josie – The whole day.
Sam – The digger
Have you got any advice for future brides?
Plan in advance for the things which are essential matter to you and get your bookings in as early as possible. Pinterest is an excellent resource for quirky wedding idea’s and there are plenty of DIY tips on there. On the day spend time with each other and don’t feel the need to approach everyone. Most people will come and speak with you.
Tell us about your honeymoon
Kenya. Safari. Late 2018. To be continued.
What was important to you when choosing your photographers?
Having two photographers was a good selling point which drew us in. Iain and Suzie’s knowledge of the venue meant we knew they would know where to take some of the best snaps, no matter what the weather, despite our best attempts to stump them on the day. Being a recommended supplier by the venue goes a long way to showing quality and a proven track record. On the day, apart from the camera’s, it was like they were invited guests.
