Amazing! That pretty much sums up this wedding from start to finish. Having met up with Nicola and Lee at Avenham Park, Preston a couple of weeks prior to their wedding on their pre-wedding shoot Nicola and Lee were such a pleasure to be around. With the wedding reception also taking place at one of our favourite venues, Beeston Manor we were excited to start the day with Nicola and her bridesmaids. We arrived at Nicola’s sister’s house (which was beautiful with it’s open plan kitchen and amazing light!) and hair and make up was underway on Lee’s sisters whilst the rest of the girls enjoyed Waitrose cupcakes (and a few Morrisons ones chucked in there as well). Little touches for the wedding morning where in abundance with ice cube wedding rings, glittered glasses for bride and bridesmaids and personalised hangers holding up the girls dresses which were displayed on their very own racking.
A drive to an adorable church in Much Hoole which was beautifully quaint with an overwhelming family feel was the setting for a gorgeous ceremony before the guests headed to Beeston Manor, Houghton to celebrate the rest of the day. Beeston Manor as always is a pleasure to photograph and this time we headed out and about to discover more of the grounds and found some hidden gems which our bridal party was more than happy to play about on much to our delight. Old machinery was the backdrop for our groomsmen shot who without hesitation climbed up on the digger we found, whilst the girls ‘vouged’ it up behind an old barn.
Some great speeches from our groom and best man but both were eclipsed when Nicola stood up to do a bride’s speech which didn’t leave a dry eye in the house. There’s a reason Bride’s don’t often do speeches as it made everyone an emotional wreck as it was stunningly beautiful and captured everyones hearts.
One of our major highlights of the day was taking Lee and Nicola back out for some more photographs after the speeches and trying something new. With them being great posers and fantastic sports, with the help of Amy from Beeston Manor, we brought out a chair to sit in the field to create our favourite shots of the day.
Finishing the evening a father daughter dance which led into the bride and groom’s first dance was lovely to watch and the dance moves that followed on the dance floor were epic, especially the dance off to Beyonce between the groom’s brother and our bride Nicola.
This wedding was just awesome, a truly amazing bride and groom who made shooting this wedding effortless and helped us create some photographs that we will cherish as much as they will.
